After trade has been completed for the day and you need to settle the EFTPOS, an EFTPOS Settlement button can be used on the POS screen to settle the EFTPOS.
Another name used for EFTPOS Settlement is "Batch Close" - it is also possible to run this function directly from the payment terminal.
Refer to PAX documentation for further details on how to run this function directly from the payment terminal.
For the purpose of simplicity, this guide focuses on running the function directly from the POS screen.
Before using this function, ensure that you have created an EFTPOS Settlement button on your POS Screen.
For further information on how to do this, please refer to the section "Create additional POS Screen buttons for EFTPOS functions" on the Configure Idealpos for PAX page.
When performing an EFTPOS Settlement, a receipt printout will be produced showing the number of EFTPOS transactions for the day as well as the EFTPOS amounts that were received during the day (or trading period).
Simply go to the POS Screen, then press the POS Screen tab where the EFTPOS Settlement button was created.
Press the EFTPOS Settlement button.
A receipt similar to the below will be printed from the POS Terminal printer containing the EFTPOS amounts for the day.
